Bulk-billing at UFS Eye Care
At UFS, we’re committed to making quality healthcare accessible to all. Your eye health is vital to your quality of life, so we want to ensure you’re getting the care you need.
UFS Eye Care offers bulk-billing for eye tests according to Medicare’s eligibility guidelines:
- If you are under 65, you are eligible for a bulk-billed eye test every three years
- If you are 65 and over, you are eligible for a bulk-billed eye test every year.
For testing or treatment outside of these specific eligibility guidelines, UFS Eye Care will bulk-bill whenever appropriate. In some instances, your optometrist may need to charge an out-of-pocket fee for your consultation or extra testing. We will explain any charges and the importance of extra tests or treatment beforehand, during your assessment.

Donating unwanted glasses
If you have glasses lying around at home that you no longer wear, consider donating them! At UFS Eye Care, we collect old and unwanted glasses which are passed on to Rotary for refurbishment and distribution to developing countries.
