Diabetes is a chronic condition characterised by high blood sugar levels due to the body's inability to produce insulin effectively. Type 2 Diabetes is where the body doesn't use insulin properly.

Effective diabetes management is important in minimising complications and ensuring a healthy life. If you are experiencing some or all of the following symptoms, our diabetes health clinic could benefit you:

UFS pharmacies will be hosting a series of diabetes health clinics during August. These 20-minute consultations will include:

• Our nurse practitioner will conduct a laboratory grade HbA1c point of-care test with results in 6 minutes.
• You'll receive a foot examination to assess diabetes related risk factors and foot sensation.
• An assessment of your results will be made by our nurse practitioner with specific recommendations and referrals to help you manage your diabetes.

Please note that your booking will be for a 20 minute session. Payment of $10 for non UFS members can be made at the pharmacy on the day of your appointment.
