Ocular disease management

Ocular disease management 

Treatment of sudden onset sore eyes caused by conditions such as conjunctivitis or blepharitis as well as treatment of chronic and acute conditions such as dry eye and lash epilation.

This Myopia management tool is a specialist service exclusive to UFS Eye Care in the Ballarat area.

Wide-field retinal imaging

Wide-field retinal imaging 

An assessment where photographs of the retina are taken to check for any signs of retinal disease.

Ocular coherence tomography 

This test is similar to a CT scan but is used specifically for the back of the eye. Using infrared, we take a cross section of the retinal layers providing an important diagnostic and management tool for retinal diseases, Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma.

Corneal topography 

We conduct a scan of the cornea to assist in the detection of corneal diseases including Keratoconus and the management of dry eye diseases. 

Visual field testing 

This test measures a patient’s peripheral vision, which is important in the diagnosis and treatment of Glaucoma. This test is also crucial in assessing a patient’s fitness to drive.
