The role

  • Full Time
  • Monday – Friday
  • Fixed Term, 12 month Maternity Leave contract
  • Based at our Head Office, 206 Armstrong St Nth, Ballarat
  • The purpose and primary focus of this position will be the development and implementation of marketing strategies across the organisation that meet business objectives. This will involve liaising with internal and external stakeholders to provide effective marketing outcomes and administration support.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Increase the profile of UFS through member-based and wider community communications.
  • Research and develop the creative direction, visuals, advertising copy and timelines for advertising and promotional activities across all media, including social, digital and print.
  • Assist in managing social media pages for all businesses across the organisation.
  • Assist in establishing and delivering an annual advertising and promotions schedule.
  • Report and analyse sales figures after promotional periods or events.
  • Co-ordinate market research projects.
  • Initiate improvement projects to current systems and practices.
  • Undertake cost benefit analysis on projects.
  • Assisting in administering the membership function, including maintaining the membership database integrity
  • Write and update copy for marketing collateral and digital assets for all areas of the business.
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers such as graphic designers, printers, mail houses and consultants as required.
  • Marketing administration work including report writing, documentation, filing.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations in relation to advertising, privacy, market research and other relevant legislative obligations.

About you

Mandatory

  • Demonstrate a high level of copy writing, grammar and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of proficiency in the Adobe Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Animation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of print, type and layout.
  • Proficient in laying out catalogues and other similarly complex multi-page documents in InDesign.
  • Professional document presentation.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability in coordinating complex projects with multiple deadlines and budgets.
  • Experienced in web content management (preferably Word Press and/or Shopify).
  • Proven ability to proof-read copy.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a face-paced, pressured environment.
  • Ability to contribute ideas, demonstrate initiative and manage change.
  • Ability to plan and organise self and others to ensure the timely completion of tasks and achievement of targets.
  • Advanced computer skills including web, email, diary management, MS Office programs and the ability to touch type efficiently.
  • Demonstrated integrity, and an understanding of, and commitment to, the purpose and guiding principles of UFS

Desirable

  • Successful completion of a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) or equivalent.
