UFS Healthcare is seeking a qualified and experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance Team.

  • operate 19 pharmacies across the western region of Victoria delivering health services beyond dispensing

  • provide non-emergency medical care, free of charge to our local community through the Ballarat Priority Primary Care Centre (PPCC)
  • operate Supercare Nursing Services across Victoria, providing after-hours nursing services to the communities we serve.

The role

Full Time shifts from Monday to Friday. Based at the UFS Head Office, 206 Armstrong St North, Ballarat.

The Accounts Receivable Officer is accountable for the accurate and timely collection of all outstanding monies owed in accordance with UFS policies and procedures.

About you


  • Empathetic, courteous and respectful attitude when communicating with both internal and external customers.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Highly developed organisational skills complemented with the ability to adapt to change.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply internal control practices as they pertain to accounts receivable practices and cash collection obligations.
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task.
  • Decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of banking systems, ERPs and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working in, the accounts receivable function in a large organisation.
  • High level of numerical and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated integrity, and commitment to the purpose and guiding principles of UFS.


  • Previous experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 ERP system is preferred.
  • Previous experience with Pronto would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience with Xero Accounting Software would be an advantage.
  • An understanding of the general ledger and the impact of postings on financial results.
  • Relevant secondary qualification, Certificate of Business qualifications or equivalent preferred, but not a necessity.
